history

According to ancient traditions, the village of Domaslovice is said to have been founded in the first half of the 13th century by the Silesian prince Domaslav. The first written reports about the place come from the tithe list of the diocese of Wroclaw from 1305. Until the 15th century the place was the seat of the Vladiken von Domaslovice. After that, various Silesian noble families took turns as owners of the manor. From 1494 they included the Marklovský von Žebrák, the Pelhřim von Třánkovice ( Pelchrzim ), from 1619 the Tluk von Toschanowitz, from 1654 to 1718 the Counts Saint Genois von Aneaucourt, then the Tluk von Toschanowitz again until 1724. This is followed by the Herzan von Harras and from 1753 the Marklowski von Pernstein. In 1773 the parish archive was destroyed in a fire. In 1782 the Grohmann von Gronau acquired the goods. In 1830 some of the goods were sold to the Tschammer on Iskrziczin .

In 1850 the political municipality Domaslovice / Domaschlowitz was established in the Teschen district . In 1864 this was divided into two independent communities - Ober and Nieder Domaschlowitz. In 1868 the pastor Habrnal designated part of his property in his will for the building of a church on the Gruň . The Grohmann family sold the castle to Hans Freiherr von Mattencloit in 1883. He was a gambler and lost large parts of his goods at the card table. Even before his death in 1929, his brothers-in-law had the ruinous castle torn down in the mid-1920s.

Since 1921 Horní Domaslovice belonged to the Český Těšín District . In 1926 the name of the municipality was changed to Horní Domaslavice . In 1938 the village in the west of the Olsa region was annexed to Poland under the name Domasłowice Górne . After the German occupation, Ober Domaslowitz was assigned to the Friedeck district in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1939, and a year later to the German district of Teschen . After the Second World War, Horní Domaslavice came back to Czechoslovakia and became part of the Okres Místek. In the 1950s, the Žermanice reservoir was built north of the village. In the course of the construction of the dam, Dolní Domaslavice was demolished and rebuilt to the east above the valley. From 1961 the community belonged to the Okres Frýdek-Místek . Between 1980 and 1990 was Horni Domaslavice as Dobrá 7-Horni Domaslavice after Dobrá incorporated. The community has had a coat of arms and a banner since 1996.
