history

After the Olomouc bishop Bruno von Schauenburg acquired the Hochwald castle from Frank von Hückeswagen around 1255 , he had the large forest areas of the Hochwald dominion settled by German colonists. Between 1258 and 1267 the bishop had the village, named Fritzendorf after its locator Fritz , built based on the model of Franconian villages. Fritzendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1267 in the Testamentus Brunnonis in the course of the appointment of four new canons to the Olomouc Cathedral , to whom he left 60 Hufen of the place. In 1270 the bishop transferred Magdeburg law to the place .

The parish church has been traceable since the middle of the 14th century. The connecting route from Hochwald to Braunsberg ran through the village . At the beginning of the 18th century the village consisted of 181 houses and had 1197 inhabitants. In 1775 the village had its own parish school, and until then the children were taught in Braunsberg. During the reign of Joseph II in 1789 the settlement of Ptáčník was established on the ecclesiastical property.

Until the abolition of patrimonial , the place, which in the course of its history was also called Vreccendorf , Fritschendorf , Fritschowitz and Fryčovice , remained in the possession of the Olomouc bishops as part of the Hochwald rule. The inhabitants lived from agriculture and the water power of the Ondřejnice was used to drive mills.

From 1850 Fryčovice formed a municipality in the Místek district. 1950 Ptáčník was incorporated. Since 1961 Fryčovice belongs to the Okres Frýdek-Místek .
