František Laurinec

František Laurinec (born August 19, 1951 in Veľké Uherce , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak football official.

As a player, František Laurinec was only active for the youth teams of his Czechoslovak home club ŠK Veľké Uherce and for FK Iskra Partizánske.

However, the Slovak decided against another footballer career and studied law at the Comenius University in Bratislava . He holds the so-called minor doctorate JUDr. as well as the academic degree CSc. Laurinec runs his own law firm.

Career as a functionary

From 1989 to 1993 František Laurinec worked for the Czechoslovak football association Československý fotbalový svaz and then until 1998 as vice-president of the Slovak football association Slovenský futový zväz . From 1999 to 2010 he was president of this association. He has been a member of the UEFA Executive Committee since 2009 . Within UEFA, he is also the chairman of the player status and transfer committee, as well as player and match agents. Laurinec was previously an expert, member and chairman of numerous other committees.
