Franz Abelmann (Manager)

Franz Abelmann (born June 29, 1905 in Bad Lauterberg im Harz , † December 19, 1987 ) was a German manager.

Career

Abelmann joined the chemical company Ciba in Wehr in Baden in 1927 . He became general director of the company and, after conversion to a stock corporation, chairman of the board. In 1973 he retired from operational business and moved to the supervisory board, to which he was a member until 1978,

In addition, he continued to hold mandates on supervisory boards. From 1970 he was chairman of the employers' association for chemistry and related industries in Baden-Württemberg. He was also a member of the Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG .
