Franz Becker (politician, 1910)

Franz Becker (born April 24, 1910 in Deetz; † September 13, 1984 in Dortmund ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( SPD and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school and graduating from high school , he completed an agricultural training course. After working in Berlin, he worked for the city of Dortmund from 1945 to 1963 . After that he was tenant of a property. Becker had been a member of the SPD since 1945 and was active in numerous party committees. After internal problems, he resigned from the SPD nine days before the 1975 local elections. Becker joined the CDU in 1982.

He was married and had two children.

MP

He was a member of the Recklinghausen District Council from 1964 to May 3, 1975. He also belonged to the City Council of the City Waltrop on from 1964 to 1975.

Public offices

From November 24, 1966 to May 3, 1975 he was district administrator for the Recklinghausen district.

Becker was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia NW.

Others

In August 1976 Becker was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
