Franz Christoph von Hanxleden zu Eickel (* around 1700 ; † May 15, 1770 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster and Minden .

Life

Franz Christoph von Hanxleden zu Eickel came from the Westphalian noble family von Hanxleden . He was the son of Gunter Egon von Hanxleben and his wife Clara Maria von Westerholt zu Eickhoff. His brother Hermann Caspar was canon, as was his nephew Leopold . By papal commission in 1747 he came into the possession of a cathedral priest from Münster . In 1761 he was appointed vicar general and on December 9th that year he was elected cathedral dean . He was also canon in Minden and provost of St. Johannis in Minden .
