Franz Dietrich (painter)
Franz Dietrich (born April 2, 1838 in Meissen , † 1890 in Munich ) was a German painter.
Franz Dietrich was born as the younger brother of Anton Dietrich (1833–1904).
Dietrich studied at the Dresden Art Academy and continued studying at the Nuremberg School of Applied Arts under August von Kreling . He then studied in Munich and Antwerp .
After graduating, he settled in Dresden . He was commissioned with the execution of wall paintings in the chapel in Friedland in Bohemia . Then he moved to Munich . He also went on a study trip to Italy .
