history

At the end of the 18th century, the Carinthian tax communities (later: cadastral communities) were formed and assigned to tax districts. The Liemberg tax municipality became part of the Liemberg tax district .

In the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the tax districts in Carinthia were dissolved and local communities were formed, each encompassing the area of one or more tax communities. The municipality of Liemberg was established in the area of the tax and cadastral municipality of Liemberg . The size of the cadastral community Liemberg was given in 1854 as 1879 Austrian yoke and 782 fathoms (approx. 1082 ha). At that time 276 people lived in the area of the cadastral community.

In 1958, the Liemberg cadastral community became part of the Liebenfels community, which was created at the time through the merger of the Liemberg, Hardegg and Pulst communities. In 1961 the area of the cadastral community Liemberg was given as 1080.6222 ha.

In the course of the municipal structural reform in 1973 , areas of just under 1 km² on the western edge of the Liemberg cadastral community were ceded by the Liebenfels community to the Feldkirchen district of St. Urban and incorporated into their St. Urban cadastral community. Since then, the area of the Liemberg cadastral community has been around 981 ha.

The cadastral municipality of Liemberg belonged from 1850 to the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and to the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . From 1854 to 1868 it belonged to the mixed district of Sankt Veit an der Glan .
