Graben is a village in the municipality of Liebenfels in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . The village has 2 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It lies entirely in the territory of the cadastral parish Freundsam .

The village is located in the southwest of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, in the ditch of the Gradenegger Bach , between the Freundsamer Moos and the village of Grund .

history

In the first half of the 19th century, Graben was part of the Gradenegg tax district and, when the local congregations were founded after the revolution of 1848/49, it came first to the municipality of Glantschach and in 1875 to the municipality of Sörg . In 1973, the place came through the merger of the communities Sörg and Liebenfels to the community Liebenfels.
