Grund is a village in the municipality of Liebenfels in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . The village has 3 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). Today it lies entirely in the territory of the cadastral parish Freundsam .

location

The village is located in the southwest of the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan, in the ditch of the Gradenegger Bach at the confluence of the Grundbach, between the villages of Liemberg and Gradenegg .

history

In Franziszeischer cadastral seven houses were located here: two in the field of control community Freundsam, five in the field of control community Gradenegg . The settlement was in the first half of the 19th century part of the tax district Gradenegg and came upon incorporation of local communities after the 1848/49 first to the community Glantschach and 1875 to the community Sörg , where she first performed as a separate village and as composting was called . In the 20th century, the settlement was not run as a separate village for a longer period of time, but as part of the locality of Gradenegg , as was the case in the 1961 census. In 1973, the village came to the Liebenfels community through the merger of the communities of Sörg and Liebenfels.
