Tax district Gradenegg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tax district of Gradenegg was one of the 89 districts of the province of Carinthia in the first half of the 19th century . It included the seven tax communities Freundsam , Glantschach , Gradenegg , Pflausach , Rasting , Sörgerberg and Zirkitz within their limits at the time. The district covered an area of 7491 yoke , which corresponds to about 43 km².

The district was named after the capital Gradenegg with the Gradenegg Castle of the same name .

In the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the tax districts were dissolved. The tax communities that had previously belonged to the Gradenegg tax district were divided up as follows: the cadastral communities Freundsam, Glantschach, Gradenegg, Pflausach, Sörgerberg became part of the newly established political community of Glantschach and thus the new political district of Sankt Veit ; the cadastral communities of Rasting and Zirkitz became part of the newly established community of Sankt Urban and thus the new political district of Klagenfurt , today they belong to the Feldkirchen district .
