history

The place was mentioned as early as 961 as Bulczisc (from Slovene polcsisce , = place of public protest ). In the 13th century a Coming # Coming of the Knightly Order of the Order of Malta was founded here. During the Reformation the place was strongly influenced by Protestants; In 1588 only 130 of the 700 inhabitants of the Catholic parish went to communion. The place suffered severe damage from major fires in 1604 and 1662. As early as 1612 there was a school in the place.

As part of the tax community Rosenbichl the place Pulst belonged in the first half of the 19th century to the tax district Rosenbichl . When the political communities were created in the mid-19th century, the place became part of the Feistritz community , which was renamed the Pulst community in 1875 . Through a municipality merger in 1958, the village came to the municipality of Liebenfels. Although the Pulst lost its importance as the capital of the municipality at that time, the place has expanded considerably in the last few decades due to the construction of numerous single-family houses and is one of the few places in the municipality with an increasing population.
