The cadastral community Sörg is one of eleven cadastral communities in the Liebenfels community in the Sankt Veit an der Glan district in Carinthia . It has an area of ​​447.08 hectares.

The cadastral community belongs to the district of the Klagenfurt land surveying office .

location

The cadastral community is located in the Wimitzer mountains in the southwestern part of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, on the northeastern edge of the Liebenfels community. It is - starting in the north, in a clockwise direction - surrounded by the cadastral communities Schaumboden and Grasdorf belonging to the municipality of Frauenstein and by the cadastral communities of Rosenbichl , Pflausach and Sörgerberg belonging to the municipality of Liebenfels . It extends from the Harter Bach in the west to the Tatschniggraben with the Tatschnigteich in the east, and from the Pflugernhöhe in the north to the village of Waggendorf in the south. The cadastral community of Sörg has belonged to the district of the Klagenfurt land surveying office since January 1st, 1998. Before that, she was part of the district of the St. Veit an der Glan land surveying office.

history

At the end of the 18th century, the Carinthian tax communities (later: cadastral communities) were formed and assigned to tax districts. The Sörg tax municipality became part of the Gradenegg tax district .

In the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the tax districts in Carinthia were dissolved and local communities were formed, each comprising the area of ​​one or more tax communities. The tax or cadastral municipality of Sörg first became part of the municipality of Glantschach , in 1875 it became part of the municipality of Sörg . Through the merger of the municipalities of Sörg and Liebenfels in 1973, the cadastral municipality of Sörg became part of the municipality of Liebenfels.

The size of the cadastral community of Sörg was given in 1854 as 777 Austrian yokes and 583 fathoms (approx. 447 ha, corresponds to today's area); at that time 213 people lived in the area of ​​the cadastral parish.

The cadastral community of Sörg belonged from 1850 to the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and to the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . From 1854 to 1868 it belonged to the mixed district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . Since the reform in 1868, it has again been part of the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan.
