Franz Josef Drewes (born August 15, 1929 in Paderborn ; † February 10, 2017 there ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Career

Franz Josef Drewes passed his Abitur at the Theodorianum high school in 1950 and then studied law in Kiel. After his doctorate in 1958 and the second state examination in 1959, he worked as a government assistant in the Detmold district from 1961 . In 1970 he moved to the office of city ​​director of the Lippe city of Lage . In 1991 he became a voluntary municipal advisor in Zeitz (Saxony-Anhalt). From 1998 to March 2011 he was Treasurer at the Theological Faculty of the University of Paderborn .

Honors

Franz Josef Drewes was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st class (awarded on December 3, 2003 by District President Andreas Wiebe in Detmold) and Commander of the New Year's Eve , which was awarded for services to the Roman Catholic Church. In 2008 he became an honorary citizen of the Theological Faculty of the University of Paderborn.
