Franz Erich Meussdoerffer

Franz Erich Meußdoerffer (born December 25, 1918 in Nuremberg ; † February 27, 2004 in Kulmbach ) was the managing director of Kulmbacher Mönchshof-Bräu GmbH and president of the Chamber of Commerce for Upper Franconia.

Life

After graduating from the Wittelsbacher Gymnasium in Munich, working , military and military service, he joined the management of the Kulmbach Mönchshof brewery on October 1, 1945. Apart from a one-year study vacation in 1950, where Meußdoerffer completed his chemistry studies with a diploma thesis in the laboratory of the later Nobel Prize winner Feodor Lynen , he ran the brewery until 1984. In addition to his management activities, he was active on various supervisory boards. As chairman of the Kulmbacher Breweries Association for many years , he campaigned for the reputation of Kulmbacher beer for decades. He also held a number of honorary positions. In 1960 he became Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Upper Franconia, was President from 1974 to 1980 and again Vice President from 1980 to 1986. He was a member of the church council for 30 years.

Since 1947 Franz Erich Meußdoerffer was with Ursula, geb. Bruschke married. The marriage had three children, including Franz Meußdoerffer (biochemist) .
