Franz Ernst Brückmann
Franz Ernst Brückmann (Bruckmann) (born September 27, 1697 in Mariental , † March 21, 1753 in Wolfenbüttel ) was a German physician and naturalist .

Franz Ernst Brückmann, the son of a bailiff , studied medicine in Jena, where he received his doctorate in 1721. He practiced in Braunschweig and from 1728 in Wolfenbüttel. After a trip to Hungary he was admitted to the Leopoldina on May 8, 1725 with the surname Mnemon ( matriculation no. 378 ) and two years later to the Prussian Academy of Sciences in Berlin. He has written numerous publications in the field of descriptive natural sciences.
His son was the doctor and mineralogist Urban Brückmann .
