Franz Ganschow

Franz Ganschow (born July 5, 1908 in Charlottenburg near Berlin , † July 8, 1969 in Berlin) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Franz Ganschow attended an elementary school and later an administration school. He trained in social security . From 1922 he worked as an employee at the Allgemeine Ortskrankenkasse (AOK) Berlin. In 1934 he switched to Siemens & Halske AG - also as an employee . In 1942 Ganschow was drafted into the Wehrmacht and then became a prisoner of war .

After the Second World War , Ganschow became head of department at the Berlin Insurance Company (VAB), the Berlin Health Insurance Company and finally the AOK Berlin. In the first Berlin election in 1946 , he was elected to the district assembly in the Charlottenburg district. In February 1949, Max Ganschow (1909–1966) was elected district councilor for youth in Charlottenburg, so Franz Ganschow moved to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin . In the following election in 1950 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. In 1958 he left parliament.
