Franz Goerig

Franz Goerig (born December 10, 1825 in Schönwalde , Heilsberg district , † July 14, 1887 in Leipzig ) was a German doctor and member of parliament in East Prussia.

Life

Goerig attended the Kgl. Hosianum high school in Braunsberg . After graduating from high school, he studied medicine at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the winter semester 1851/52 he was active in the Corps Masovia . As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . With a doctoral thesis on pneumonia , he was appointed Dr. med. PhD . As a general practitioner he first settled in Neidenburg and then in Berlin (1882). For the German Progressive Party , he sat from 1879 to 1882 for the constituency of Königsberg 7 (Osterode, Neidenburg) in the Prussian House of Representatives .
