Franz Grossmann

Franz Großmann (born August 23, 1950 in Weyer , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

After attending elementary school and a grammar school , from which he also graduated , Franz Großmann studied law at the University of Graz . In 1974 he received his doctorate . After initially being a notary candidate and working as a trainee from 1976 to 1980 , Großmann seized the opportunity from 1980 to work independently as a lawyer .

From 1973 he was a member of the Association of Socialist Students in Austria . From 1975 Großmann was first in the Styrian district of Liezen , later in the district of Klagenfurt-Land in Carinthia, an SP functionary. In 1988 he was elected social democratic state party secretary in the southernmost Austrian state.

From October 1988 to May 1989 he represented Carinthia as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna . He then moved into the Carinthian state parliament as a member of his party , to which, however, he was only to belong for one legislative period, until 1994.
