Franz Inselkammer (brewer, 1935)

Franz Inselkammer (born December 14, 1935 in Munich ) is a German master brewer and entrepreneur from the Inselkammer family . He is the owner of the Aying brewery .

Life

Franz Inselkammer was born as the eldest of three sons of the brewery owner Franz Inselkammer . He studied brewing science at the Weihenstephan University and has a degree in business administration. In 1963 he joined his parents' company. After the death of his father in 1986, he took over the management of the operations in Aying .

Under his leadership, the brewery was relocated to the outskirts of Aying in 1999. The newly built brewery is still one of the most advanced in Europe. A study by the University of Augsburg confirmed a sustainability factor of 170 out of a possible 200. In the same year, a successful test borehole made it possible to build a deep well. Since then, non-alcoholic drinks have also been produced in Aying.

Franz Inselkammer also runs the “Brauereigasthof Hotel in Aying” with his wife Angela, which is regularly recognized by various restaurant guides.

Inselkammer was president of the Bavarian Brewers' Association and is today its honorary president. From 1966 to 2002 he was a member of the Aying Town Council.

Franz Inselkammer is married. He and his wife Angela, b. Reputation, have three children.

Honors

Franz Inselkammer was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit in 2002 for his achievements and his commitment to society .

In December 2005 the municipality of Aying decided to grant the Inselkammer honorary citizenship.

In 2015 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Beer.

Engagements

For the company's centenary, Franz Inselkammer set up a local history museum for Aying in the old Der Sixthof property . The premises can be visited, but are also used for events.

Inselkammer is involved with his company in social, cultural and sporting areas and projects.
