Franz Josef Büeler

Franz Josef Büeler (* 1751 ; † 1816 ) was commissioner of the canton of St. Gallen in the function of a librarian for the monastery of St. Gallen .

Büeler came from a Rapperswiler citizen sex , the major impact on the city-state had. The Büeler family repeatedly produced high class representatives.

Büeler was a supporter of the Helvetic Republic and played a major role in the genesis of the canton of St. Gallen. He was also close friends with Karl Müller-Friedberg . In 1802 he worked as a canton governor, from 1804 to 1805 as a commissioner in the St. Gallen monastery. In 1815 he was Councilor .
