Franz Josef Schweitzer
Franz Josef Schweitzer (born June 26, 1934 in Stolberg (Rhineland) , † March 19, 1998 in Berlin ) was a German civil engineer and recycling entrepreneur.
Franz Schweitzer came from the Rhineland. The civil engineer studied initially worked on various projects, such as B. the construction of a dam in Malaysia. In 1968 he founded the recycling company Alba , which he named after his wife's company.
His sons Axel Schweitzer and Eric Schweitzer continue to run the company as board members after his death. A place in the Brandenburg town of Velten, where the former headquarters of the ALBA Group was located, is named after him.
