Franz Joseph Feuchtmayer
Franz Joseph Feuchtmayer (born March 9, 1660 [baptized] in Wessobrunn ; † December 25, 1718 in Mimmenhausen (near Salem )) was a sculptor and plasterer and a member of the Feuchtmayer family of artists . Johann Michael the Elder Ä. (* 1666) and Michael (* 1667) were his brothers, Joseph Anton (1696–1770) his son, who took over the Mimmenhausen workshop after his father's death.
Together with his brother Johann Michael, he created sculptures for the choir stalls of the Einsiedeln monastery as well as the pulpit and sculptures for the altar of the church in Seitenstetten Abbey . He was also involved in the redesign of Salem Monastery , which was destroyed by fire in 1697.
