Franz Joseph von Wurmbrand-Stuppach (1737–1806)
Franz Joseph von Wurmbrand-Stuppach (born April 4, 1737 in Graz , † February 12, 1806 in Vienna ) was an Austrian diplomat .
He comes from the younger (extinct) branch of the Styrian line. His parents were Count Leopold Siegmund von Wurmbrand-Stuppach (* February 5, 1701; † October 18, 1759) and his wife, Countess Anna Sabine von und zu Wildenstein (* February 17, 1700; † August 15, 1772). He devoted himself to the diplomatic career and was kuk envoy to the courts of Denmark, Saxony and Naples. He received the dignity of an Imperial and Royal Chamberlain and a real secret councilor.
He was married to Countess Maria Theresia von Sylva-Tarouca (born December 30, 1741) since April 30, 1764 . His wife was the daughter of Emanuel Silva-Tarouca . The couple had two sons and two daughters:

- Heinrich Georg Ferdinand (December 19, 1767 - January 5, 1812)

- ⚭ September 26, 1798 Luigi Panissera, 5th Count of Veglio (* June 30, 1760 - † March 5, 1812)
- ⚭ Carlo Luigi Stefano Maria Giacinto Porporato, Marchese di Sampeyre, Piasco, Venasca e Brossasco (* December 26, 1762 - † August 8, 1834)
- Leopold Karl (born November 4, 1772; † before 1786)
After the death of his first wife, he married Countess Maria Cäcilia Chlumčanská z Přestavlk on December 14, 1773 (from Prestawlk and Chlumcan; † March 18, 1822). The couple had a daughter:
- Aloisia Franziska Nepomuzena (April 4, 1775 - 1818)
- ⚭ October 15, 1774 Count Emanuel Wiežnik z Wiežnik on Wselis and Bukowan († 1806).
His son and heir, Count Georg Heinrich, remained without descendants and this branch of the Wurmbrand family died out.
