Franz Karl Lukas

Franz Karl Lukas (born September 23, 1907 in Lower Austria ; † December 4, 1985 in Braunau am Inn ) was an Austrian painter and sculptor .

Live and act

He studied from 1935 to 1941 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . After the war he came to Braunau as a theater painter . In Salzburg he was busy rebuilding the Salzburg Cathedral . He then lived in Braunau until his death. Among other things, he was guild master of the Innviertel artists' guild .

He dealt with the production of secular and religious color compositions, including large sgraffiti and watercolors . As a sculptor, he created large female nudes that are exhibited in the Herzogsburg district museum.
