Stefan Franz Kerker (born August 29, 1977 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD).

Life

Franz Kerker works as an insurance salesman in Berlin. He is a member of the optional Borussia singers . Kerker was a member of the CDU until 2014 , later he joined the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , where he ran in the Mitte 5 constituency , Kerker moved into the Berlin House of Representatives via the AfD's state list . There he is the education policy spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group.

Kerker is the father of three children.

Kerker rejects a general ban on cell phones in schools and sees schools as being responsible: “Of course we see the problem of cell phone use in schools. In view of the large number of vacant headmaster positions in Berlin, Kerker said: " Being a headmaster in Berlin is a thankless task due to the workload". This leads to "that many well-qualified people often shy away from taking on this office". Kerker calls for school principals to be supported by administrative staff and an improved range of further training for school principals, in addition to the subject area of ​​administration, also in the area of ​​'leadership'.

In the plenary debate about free school lunches , Kerker pointed out that no one knew exactly how much the demand in schools would increase as a result of the measures and how the costs would be accordingly.
