Franz Paul Fiebrich (born May 9, 1879 in Vienna ; † February 2, 1935 there ) was an Austrian composer of Viennese songs , folk singer, choir director and poet.

Life

Franz Paul Fiebrich was a railway official from 1909 and also attended the Kaiser music school, where he learned piano, singing, harmony and composition. He was the rain choir at the parish church in Dornbach . He later became choirmaster at the men's choir Hernalser Sängerbund .

Kurt Girk sings his compositions and calls some of them his most beautiful songs.

He received an honorary grave in the Dornbacher Friedhof (group 13, row 8, number 27) and a memorial plaque with a bust at Ottakringer Straße 19 in the 16th district. The Fiebrichgasse in the 22nd district is named after him.

Works

Among other things, he composed Wienerlieder Drauss't in Nussdorf , Das silberne Kanderl , O du dear, old Steffel , There, where the violins sing , Das Weanalied and further marches, waltzes, choirs, church music and orchestral works.
