Franz Preidl , since 1887 Preidl Edler von Hassenbrunn (born December 26, 1810 in Hasel , † August 28, 1889 in Tschischkowitz ) was a Bohemian entrepreneur.

Life

Franz Preidl was the oldest of several children. In Bohemian Kamnitz ( Česká Kamenice ) and Kamnitz-Neudörfel (Kamenická Nová Víska) the large industrialist set up weaving and spinning mills in 1855 , the best known are the three Rabstein factories, and in the vicinity other textile factories, but also mills. He also owned the Hassenstein Castle ( Hasištejn Castle ) and was the owner of the lands around Brunnersdorf ( Prunéřov ). In Kamnitz he had a hospital built in the neo-Gothic style , which was designed by the clerical councilor Augustin Zippe .

In 1887 (diploma issued on January 21, 1888) Franz Preidl was raised to the nobility by the Austrian emperor as "Edler von Hassenbrunn".
