Franz Röhrs

Franz Röhrs (born February 6, 1945 in Hanstedt ) is a German politician ( CDU ), cattle dealer and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending primary school, Franz Röhrs completed an apprenticeship in agriculture and attended a technical school. He then worked independently as a cattle dealer from 1967. He joined the CDU in 1970. Röhrs was a member of the advisory board at Überlandwerk Nord-Hannover, he took over the chairmanship of the Hanoverian Cattle and Meat Association and was President of the German Cattle and Meat Trade Association based in Bonn. In the joint municipality of Hanstedt he worked as a member of the council from 1972, and in 1976 he became mayor there. From 1972 he was also a member of the district council in the Harburg district , there a. a. Group leader of the CDU and deputy district administrator.

From 1990 to 1994 Röhrs was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament (MdL). In 1993, Röhrs was investigated on suspicion of cruelty to animals and subsidy fraud. All proceedings were discontinued. It was no longer nominated for the 1994 state elections by the CDU. After appearing at a Republican party convention in Rastatt , the Lower Saxony CDU announced its expulsion from the party, Röhrs anticipated this by leaving.

From June 21, 1990 to June 20, 1994 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 12th electoral term, until November 1, 1993 as a parliamentary group member of the CDU, thereafter non-attached.

He is married and has three children.
