Life

Bayer was originally supposed to study medicine. Since this course did not appeal to him, he started as an intern in the court accounting department in the coinage and mining industry. However, this service did not appeal to him either, and he tried his hand at amateur stages in his spare time. There the actor Carl Friedrich Solbrig saw him once and recommended Johann Karl Liebich to Prague in the direction . After a short preparation, he made his debut there on November 19, 1802. He stayed there until his farewell performance on December 10, 1842 and April 19, 1844. Soon after, he moved to Dresden, where he also died.

In addition to his acting activities, he also dealt with the visual arts and painted some good portraits. He also wrote poems, short stories and parodies.

His son was the architect Rudolf Bayer .
