Rudolf Bayer (architect)
Franz Rudolf Bayer (born February 20, 1825 in Vienna , † July 4, 1878 in Dresden ) was an Austrian architect and engineer. He was the son of the court actor Franz Rudolf Bayer .
Buildings
- 1860 Salzburg main station . Building contractor Karl Freiherr von Schwarz (1817–1898) built Salzburg's main train station with the architect Rudolf Bayer. The station was officially opened on August 12, 1860.
- 1863–1869 residential and commercial building, Vienna 6, Getreidemarkt 17 / Mariahilfer Straße 1 (designed by Rudolf Bayer and Otto Thienemann )
- 1870 Rottenstein Castle (Carinthia) . In 1870, Gustav Graf von Egger commissioned the Viennese architect Rudolf Bayer to build a state seat in the style of the time. With the extensive renovations that have taken place, extremely dignified furnishings and the construction of additional outbuildings such as a private bathhouse, a fully composed work of art of historicism that is probably unique in Carinthia .
