Franz Schaber

Franz Schaber (born March 31, 1923 in Silz ; † September 23, 2010 in Munich ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and federal railway official. Schaber was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1969 to 1970 .

After primary school, Schaber graduated from high school, became leader of the Hitler Youth and joined the NSDAP in 1942 (membership number 9,537,892). In 1946 he joined the Austrian Federal Railways, where he worked in administrative and commercial services. Schaber was also involved in employee representation. Schaber was politically active in the town council of Silz, and he was also active in the Austrian Workers' Association (ÖAAB). He was a member of the ÖAAB regional board of Tyrol and a member of the ÖAAB federal board, he also acted as chairman of the federal section for transport in the ÖAAB. He was also a councilor of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Tyrol and a member of the state executive of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions in Tyrol. He represented the ÖVP in the National Council between April 25, 1969 and March 31, 1970.
