Franz Schedl

Franz Schedl (born October 28, 1901 in Oberloisdorf ; † May 28, 1982 ibid) was an Austrian carpenter, farmer and politician. Schedl was married and a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Franz Schedl was born the son of the carpenter and farmer Franz Schedl. He attended elementary school and then worked as a carpenter's assistant and farmer.

politics

From 1927 he was district chairman of the Christian fraternity and from 1924 to 1934 member of the board of the Christian trade union in Burgenland, between 1931 and 1934 he was also its second chairman. Schedl was also a member of the advisory board of the Burgenland Chamber of Labor from 1925 to 1934 and a member of the Burgenland Administrative Commission / Chamber of Labor from 1935 to 1938. He also held the office of mayor of Oberloisdorf from 1934 to 1938 and was a member of the state parliament in Burgenland from November 11, 1934 to March 12, 1938. He was briefly imprisoned in 1938 and served in the German Wehrmacht between 1941 and 1945 . After the Second World War, Schedl was again a member of the state parliament of the ÖVP between January 4, 1946 and March 19, 1953 and mayor of Oberloisdorf from 1950 to 1958.
