Franz Stahr

Franz Stahr (born July 9, 1842 in Zielonka, Province of Posen , † April 11, 1904 in Berlin ) was a German medical officer.

Life

Stahr studied from 1861 to 1865 at the Medical and Surgical Friedrich Wilhelm Institute . In 1861 he joined the Pépinière-Corps Franconia. In March 1865 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. Promoted to assistant doctor in May 1866, he took part in the German War . With the IV Army Corps he went to the Franco-German War . He then worked for four years as a medical officer at the Kaiser Wilhelm Academy. From 1875 to 1883 he served in two infantry regiments (No. 49 and No. 54). In 1876 he went on a six-month scientific trip to France, Switzerland and Italy. In 1883 he was transferred to Kassel as senior staff doctor and garrison doctor. In 1889/90 he was a consultant in the medical department of the Prussian War Ministry. End of December 1890 the Surgeon General II promoted. Class, he was appointed as Corps doctor for First Army Corps in Königsberg i. Pr. Shifted. On 18 April 1895 he was awarded the character as a general physician first class. In the Ministry of War he became head of department (1897) and sub-director (1900). In August 1901 he received the rank of major general. Two years later he was adopted. He died at the age of 62.
