Franz Tidemann

Franz Tidemann (born December 23, 1752 in Bremen , † April 9, 1836 in Bremen) was a lawyer and senator and mayor of the city of Bremen.

biography

Tidemann was the son of the elder Johann Tidemann. He was married to the mayor's daughter Ilsabetha Klugkist; both had five children.

From 1769 he graduated from the Illustre grammar school in Bremen . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1773 . He received his doctorate in 1776. jur. In 1778 in Wetzlar he was admitted to the Masonic Lodge Joseph to the three helmets . In 1779 he worked as a secretary at a higher court.

In 1794 he became a councilor in Bremen ( named Senator from 1813 ). From September 17, 1808 to December 23, 1824 he was the successor of Liborius Diederich Post Mayor of Bremen .
