Franz Vesely

Franz Vesely (born August 7, 1898 in Perchtoldsdorf ; † January 24, 1951 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and district school inspector. Vesely was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1945 to 1951 .

After attending the elementary and community school, Vesely graduated from the teacher training college in Vienna and did military service between 1915 and 1918. He became a Russian prisoner of war, fled Siberia and returned to his troops. After graduating from high school, Vesely worked as a primary and secondary school teacher, although he was dismissed after the Nazis came to power in 1938 and forced into retirement in 1939. Vesely then worked for an insurance company.

After the end of the Second World War, Vesely worked again in the school service from 1945 and was active as a district school inspector. He represented the SPÖ from December 12, 1945 until his death in the state parliament, with Vesely having a fatal accident in a car accident. He was buried in a grave of honor at the Perchtoldsdorf cemetery .
