Franz Wüsten (* 1844 ; † 1893 ) was a German enamel artist and goldsmith .

Wüsten was probably born in Cologne in 1844 . 1871/72 he worked with Peter Carl Fabergé in Russia's St. Petersburg before he was again active in Cologne at the latest from the 1876th
Because of his exceptional craftsmanship , Franz Wüsten was appointed papal goldsmith and purveyor to the royal court .
His signature was: FRANZ WÜSTEN COELN

After the death of Franz Wüstens in 1893, his son Franz ran the workshop alone, from 1902 to 1906 together with his brother August.
