Franz Werner von Leykam

Franz Werner von Leykam (born August 13, 1814 in Darmstadt ; † February 9, 1883 at Elsum Castle in Birgelen ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Leykam studied philology and law in Bonn. In 1833 he joined the Corps Rhenania Bonn . He was the Hessian Chamberlain and the owner of the manor on Elsum in the Heinsberg district and on Weiler in the Euskirchen district .

From January 1874 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Aachen 4 ( Düren , Jülich ). In the Reichstag he belonged to the faction of the center . He was only a member of the Reichstag for a very short time, because he resigned his mandate on April 22 of the same year.
