Franz Westhoven
Franz Westhoven (born December 7, 1894 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , † October 9, 1983 in Heidelberg ) was a German officer, most recently a lieutenant general in World War II .
From March 8 to May 8, 1944 he commanded the 21st Panzer Division (Wehrmacht) , from May 5 to 26, 1944, the 2nd Panzer Division and from October 1, 1942 to October 24, 1943, the 3rd Panzer Division . After the war he was a member of the personnel appraisal committee , which was responsible for the reinstatement of officers in the Bundeswehr .
