Franz Wudy is a former German biathlete .

Franz Wudy from the sports promotion group 112 of the Panzergrenadierbataillon 112 of the Bundeswehr won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in 1984 with Florian Hüttner and Engelbert Sklorz in the German relay. In the following year he was able to improve by one rank with Sklorz and Bendrath of the relay and only had to admit defeat to the East German relay. At the Biathlon World Championships in Oslo in 1986 , Wudy first landed bronze with Herbert Fritzenwenger , Peter Angerer and Fritz Fischer , but was later disqualified for taking illegal drugs from Angerer and himself. In the individual he was 17th before. In 1988 he won the sprint race title at the German Championships. At the 1989 World Cup in Feistritz , Wudy took tenth place in the individual and won the silver medal in the team competition with Fritzenwenger, Fritz and Georg Fischer behind the Soviet and ahead of the East German team. In the biathlon world cup he achieved several good results.
