Franz Zeidler

Franz Zeidler , (* 8. October 1883 in Retz ; † 27. August 1945 ) was an Austrian judge and a German Reichsgerichtsrat .

Life

The son of a Catholic pharmacist passed the state judicial examination in 1903 "with good success". In March 1906 he was a trainee lawyer at the Regional Court of Vienna and at the end of December 1906 an auscultant . He passed the judge's examination in 1910 "with good success". In 1911 he was appointed judge at the Scheibbs District Court. In 1912 he became a judge at the Vienna Regional Court and then at the Hietzing District Court . In June 1914 he was appointed judge at the Regional Court for Criminal Matters in Vienna. During the First World War he was first lieutenant in the reserve. In March 1918 he became district judge for Vienna.

In 1920 he was promoted to regional judge. He received the title of Higher Regional Court Counselor in June 1922 and became a judge in salary group 3 in February 1923. In 1924 he was transferred to the Regional Court for Criminal Matters I Vienna, Class 2. As Senate Chairman, he worked from 1927 with Class 3, with Class 4 from November 1932, with whom he also became Vice President in January 1933. From March 1936, he provided temporary services at the OG Vienna. There he became councilor with professional group 5 in 1937.

After Austria's “annexation” to the National Socialist German Reich , Zeidler was appointed to the German Reich Court on April 1, 1939, to which he belonged until the end of 1945.
