Franz von Berks

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franz von Berks (born December 27, 1792 in Eichstätt , † September 6, 1873 in Munich ) was a private lecturer and ministerial administrator . Probably around 1833 to 1838 at the request of State Minister Prince Ludwig Kraft Ernst von Öttingen-Wallerstein (1791–1870) he became the first head of the newly established statistical office in the Theatine building. The fictitious founding date of January 1, 1833 comes from the time of National Socialism , but according to today's assessment it is much older, namely from 1808. Berks was thus the immediate successor of the state parliament member and university professor Ignaz von Rudhart .

From 1847 to 1848 von Berks was Minister of State for the Interior.
