Life
Franziska was the daughter of Prince Konrad zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst and his wife Countess Franziska von Schönborn-Buchheim.
On November 29, 1917, she married Archduke Maximilian Eugen of Austria in Laxenburg , the son of Otto Franz Joseph of Austria and Princess Maria Josepha of Saxony . The marriage had two sons:
- Ferdinand Habsburg-Lothringen (* 1918 in Vienna, † 2004 in Ulm); ⚭ 1956 Countess Helene zu Törring-Jettenbach (* 1937)
- Heinrich Karl Maria Habsburg-Lothringen (* 1925 in Munich; † 2014); ⚭ 1961 Ludmilla Countess von Galen (* 1939)
After the end of the monarchy, she lived as "Countess von Wernberg" (known in society as "Erzfanny") in Munich and on Lake Starnberg. In Munich she ran a thriving and very elegant fashion salon , somewhat unusual for the sister-in-law of the last Emperor of Austria .
