Fraser Lake ( Village of Fraser Lake ) is a municipality in the central north of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

Fraser Lake is located on the Nechako Plateau on the south bank of the lake of the same name . The Yellowhead Highway ( BC Highway 16 ) leads from Prince George, 135 km to the east, via Fraser Lake to Prince Rupert .

Fraser Lake is at an elevation of 670  m . The population was 988 in 2016. The municipality covers an area of ​​484 ha. The climate has moderate rainfall and average temperatures for the province. The frost-free season usually starts on June 11th and ends on September 12th. The community's main employers are the timber industry ( Fraser Lake Sawmill ) and the mining sector (the nearby Endako Mine , a large molybdenum mine).
