Alfred "Fred" Döring (born February 7, 1933 in Költschen, today Kołczyn , Lebus Voivodeship ) is a former German athlete who competed for the GDR . He specialized in obstacle and long distance running.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he was eliminated in the run-up to the 3000 m obstacle course .

In 1960 and 1964 (with his personal best of 8: 39.0 min) he became GDR champion over 3000 m obstacle .

Döring started for the ASK Vorwärts Berlin .
