Fred Weinmann

Fred Weinmann (born January 31, 1908 in Fischbach bei Dahn ; † May 24, 1991 in Kaiserslautern ) was a German teacher , folklorist and local history researcher .

Life

After his first job as a teacher in Frankenthal in 1929 , he was transferred to Kaiserslautern in 1935. In 1940 he studied at the Vocational Education Institute in Munich and in 1945 took up his work as a lecturer at the master school for craftsmen in Kaiserslautern, where he later also became senior lecturer, he was also a lecturer at the Werkkunstschule.

As a part-time job, he enriched the Palatinate folklore with many specialist articles and lectures and worked for the Palatinate Atlas.
