Freddy Heß (born March 7, 1964 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Heß came to the second division SV Darmstadt 98 in 1987 via ASV Landau and Südwest Ludwigshafen . There he played for six years and came as a regular player to 221 games (ten goals). In his first season at SV Darmstadt, he and his club were relegated to the Bundesliga. Against the Bundesliga 16. SV Waldhof Mannheim lost 4-5 on penalties in the decisive game.

After 1993 he played in the Regionalliga and Oberliga at SV Edenkoben and SC Hauenstein, each of which he also temporarily looked after as a player-coach.

Other coaching stations included the clubs TB Jahn Zeiskam, ASV Landau and ASV Durlach. Currently (2011/12) he is the coach of SV Rülzheim in the district league Vorderpfalz.

His son Sebastian is also a soccer player and was already active in the major league.
