Freddy Schissler

Freddy Schissler (* 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist and book author .

Freddy Schissler grew up in Frankfurt and in the Black Forest . He later moved to the Allgäu . In Konstanz / Stuttgart he completed a basic social science course and then began a newspaper traineeship at the Augsburger Allgemeine / Allgäuer Zeitung. Until December 2007, Schissler was the chief cultural editor of the Allgäuer Zeitung . He then worked as a freelance journalist as well as a book author and wrote for several German newspapers and magazines. Since 2015 he has been the chief editor of the magazine "Griaß di 'Allgäu", a nationwide experience magazine.

Writing activity

His first book deals with jazz music in general and a renowned jazz festival in particular (highlights from the Kempten Jazz Spring ). He then wrote a detective novel (Tödliches Nachspiel) before concentrating on the humorous portrayal of the sometimes turbulent everyday life of an average German family (It's not always easy for a papa; stay cool, papa).
