Frederick William Franz

Frederick William Franz (born September 12, 1893 in Covington , Kentucky , United States ; † December 22, 1992 ) was Vice President from 1945 to 1977, and from 1978 to 1992 President of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society , the organization that covers the entire work of the Supervised Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses .

Franz was born in 1893, he had three siblings. He attended college from 1911 to 1914, was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness on November 30, 1913, and then immediately set out as a full-time minister to preach the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. He began serving on the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society's writing committee in 1926 and died in 1992, still serving the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
