Frederiksberg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the city of Frederiksberg in the northeast of the Danish island of Sjælland . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Sokkelund Herred in what was then Københavns Amt , then to the non-official Frederiksberg Municipality , which became part of the Hovedstaden region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform . In 1982 the Frederiksberg Slotssogn was split off from the Frederiksberg Sogn . In 2013 the two were merged again.
Of the 104,305 inhabitants of Frederiksberg, 16,484 live in the parish of the same name (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish are the churches "Frederiksberg Kirke" and "Frederiksberg Slotskirke" (Eng .: Frederiksberg Castle Church).
Neighboring communities are in the west Flintholm Sogn , in the northwest Lindevang Sogn , in the north Solbjerg Sogn and in the east Sankt Markus Sogn , also in the Frederiksberg surrounding København Kommune ( German : Copenhagen ) in the southeast Apostelkirkens Sogn and Sankt Matthæus Sogn , in the south Kristkirkens Sogn and Valby Sogn and in the southwest Timotheus Sogn .
